Virtue Technologies Round-table Internet Event – Thursday November 27th 2014

Who? The Round-table Internet Event is for schools reviewing their current broadband provider. Virtue Technologies are allowing guests the opportunity to meet some of our customers, Rick Cowell from Bishop Rawstorne Academy and John Robinson from Hawkley Hall High School, who will be talking about their experience of successfully moving their service to Virtue Technologies in a Q&A style session. Representatives from Sophos and Schools ICT Services Ltd will be attending the event.

What? A combination of presentations from our partners who are attending the event will cover all elements of the solution from the type and speed of connection to the firewall and filtering options. We will also discuss Office 365 email with shared calendar/contacts and what it can offer your school as a part of this solution. In addition, we will be discussing the options available to schools to move away from the local education authority for SIMS support. Part of our discussions will be whether the schools attending can work together to complete a group purchase and save money but primarily the event will be a valuable opportunity to fully understand the options available to your school.

Where? The event is taking place at the Macdonald Tickled Trout Hotel. By road the venue is less than 1 mile from A59 to Preston & Blackburn and nearby M55, M61, and M65. If guests choose to travel by train the venue is situated 2 miles from Preston Train Station.

When? The event is taking place on Thursday 27th November 2014 running from 9am until 12.30pm when lunch will be served.

Why? The event provides a unique opportunity to meet some of Virtue Technologies customers and find out about their experiences of successfully moving their service to Virtue. If a school is currently reviewing their current broadband provider, The Round-table Internet Event is a fantastic opportunity for guests to gain information from some of our partners and find out how switching to Virtue can benefit their schools.

Above all, the event is a great chance to network with other schools, Virtue Technologies technical staff and some of our partners.
